Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed their learning today as we reenacted the events after the Battle of Hastings. We laid out the classroom to represent the different areas of Britain and allowed some learners to be Normans (green bibs) whilst others were the English. We then discussed how the English would feel knowing they had just lost the battle and were aware that they had a new king. The Normans also discussed what they expected from their king and how they would react should there be a rebellion. Learners were then walked through the events, with myself barking orders in French and eventually killing those pesky rebels in the North!
