You could say that William The Conqueror’s Feudal System is not the most exciting History topic that anyone will ever study, however, two year 7 groups were able to bring it to life by acting out the parts of those who were involved. It was fine if you were playing the part of King William, who had all the privileges and was at the top of the tree. It wasn’t so bad if you were one of his Norman barons who got some of the land. However, it wasn’t too nice if you were playing the part of a poor old down-trodden Saxon peasant who had to do all the work and never got thanked for it. Still it was an activity enjoyed by all and gave a one-thousand year old tradition a little bit more reality!
