Photographer and friend to DC, Jane Hewitt visited Year 7 with the brief title ‘Not the norm textiles’. When Jane visits our school, she always comes with a bag full of goodies. Pulling out beautiful things she has created. Along with lovely books and materials she no longer needs. Its like Christmas every time! She has been using her fabulous photography skills to transform a photo into a piece of textiles.
Each learner was asked to draw a picture of a girl holding an umbrella. Jane then transformed the drawings into textile creations. Adding fabric collage to enhance the colours and textures, bringing each drawing to life.
